Houston Controls provided technicians for this approximately $50 million Turnaround. This job was completed on time and on budget, with our technicians fulfilling the traditional roles required by contract technicians; loop checking, verifying, execution of work packages, disconnection and reconnection of instruments, installation of new devices and documentation of work performed.

Due to the lack of qualified personnel available in the area, our personnel were also called upon to perform work traditionally performed by BP direct hire personnel. Although the plant is a unionized facility, the high professionalism and technical excellence exhibited by our technicians led to their immediate acceptance by the existing workforce; and integration with the existing forces was very successful.

Our people sustained no recordable injuries during this job, and participated fully in the plant and turnaround safety processes.
