Houston Controls provided Technicians and Journeymen to support this approximately $75 million turnaround, in Spring of 2009. The Conoco-Phillips plant units are interdependent, so several small units were down during the outage of the main processing unit. Project duration was approximately eight weeks. In-house forces provided planning and scheduling.
Our personnel provided construction manpower, loop and interlock checking, commissioning and witnessing of new instrumentation installations, and remained on site as a resource during unit re-start. During the outage, our personnel were employed in most of the units that were down. During startup they were dispatched as-needed and where-needed to assure successful startup and operation.
This project demonstrated that our very experienced personnel are as at-home in a live plant as they are in a green-field construction site, and will work flexibly to meet the Client’s need.
